Elysium (Filler text)
Site Area:
Location: Haryana, India
Tucked into the quiet rhythm of Haryana’s landscape, this two-story dwelling emerges as a sanctuary for a painter and his family, where space and light conspire to inspire. The architecture unfolds in generous volumes, its whitewashed walls and ceilings acting as a silent canvas, reflecting the interplay of textured finishes—rough, smooth, and everything in between. Underfoot, the floors echo this tactile narrative, grounding the home in a quiet materiality.
Warm light spills from hidden sources, casting soft, golden hues that animate the spaces, creating an intimate dialogue between shadow and form. Walls stretch wide and unbroken, offering themselves as galleries for the artist’s creations, while large openings frame the outside world, blurring the line between interior and exterior. At the front, a green lawn stretches outward, a living, breathing counterpoint to the structured geometry of the house. Here, the home is not merely a shelter but a living organism—a space where creativity is nurtured, and the mundane is transformed into the extraordinary.
